Can Essential Oils Help to Sell Your Home?

Image
Have you heard of ambient fragrancing? According to this study , good smells can be a motivator for people. US News and World Report and The Morning Call have articles that suggest using ambient fragrancing to your advantage. So are you trying to sell your home?  Would you say that you want potential buyers to be motivated to buy your house?  It may be as simple as making your house smell good! For many years, realtors have been baking cookies, putting out cinnamon rolls, burning candles, etc to give off a cheery and inviting environment to a house that is being shown to potential buyers.  It makes sense.  Cookies are comfort food.  Comfort food makes us feel comfortable.    Since our sense of smell is very powerful for imprinting and association of memories – comfort foods will trigger us to feel more comfortable in an otherwise unknown environment. Essential oils can be a wonderful alternative to the cookies, cinnamon rolls, and can...

The Power of Thieves!

Image
I have mentioned the power of Thieves in this earlier post , but then today   I saw this great post by a fellow oil user, that I wanted to share with you. I think this is an experiment we are going to try this year in our home school! This oily family took a normal hamburger bun half and placed a single drop of Thieves on the bun (yellowish spot), placed it in a plastic bag with a flat wet piece of cotton behind the bun in its center (to hasten mold growth), then stored it in a dark area for two weeks . Look at the results!  Gotta LOVE Thieves! You can read more about Thieves  here . Thieves is one of the 11 essential oils that comes in the Premium Starter Kit. Along with other great products to get you started. To become a member, you may click on this link .

What's Next?

Host a Budget-Friendly Oils class ? I have had many people ask me how I decided what oils to order first after the Premium Starter Kit. I had a very long wish list. But what did I order?  The cheapest oils!  That way I could get more products into my house for a lot fewer dollars. The price of the oils has nothing to do with their effectiveness. It is all about *how* they are to grown, harvested, distilled, cold-pressed etc. For that reason, for example, most of the citrus oils are inexpensive. But they are still very powerful. Here is a list of budget-friendly oils (under $20 a bottle). As you can see, there are a LOT of options. I encourage you to become familiar with these oils. Check your reference book(s) and/or Young Living App.  Look these up.  See what they do.  You can bring a whole lot of wellness support into your home without breaking your budget! I leave you with a challenge: take this information and become ...

Scientific Experiment

Image
I am sharing this from another group....WOW!!! "Hello everyone! I wanted to share something real quick. About a month ago, my science teacher asked us to bring a disinfectant of choice to class. I chose to bring my thieves cleaner. We cut a sliver of a pumpkin out so that the inside was exposed. We then, applied our disinfectant inside the pumpkin. Today, she told us to swab a spot from our pumpkin and look at the bacteria under the microscope. My pumpkin had NO BACTERIA at all growing at all. Thieves cleaner was a success. People who had used Clorox and Lysol had all kinds of bacteria growing all ready. I thought that this was pretty amazing ."

Our Story

Image
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own." 1 Cor. 6:19 Our Personal Experiences with Essential Oils  When I first used essential oils, I tried several different brands that were available from my local health food stores, grocery stores, amazon etc.  It always seemed that after I tried a few drops for a recipe I would get a headache so I stopped using it and never finished the bottle. One year after cleaning out my bathroom cabinet I found three bottles of practically unused essential oils!   I actually got no benefit from them whatsoever. Literally.  I might as well have just flushed the money I spent on them!  I was later introduced to Melaleuca essential oil through another multi-level marketing company that used it as the primary ingredient in all their products. This seemed to have worked for a while until I learned their oil was adulterated so I ev...
